The Christmas Star competition in its present format commenced 4 years ago, but Brisbane’s Lord Mayor’s Carols Talent Quest goes back much further than that.In fact, Brisbane’s annual carols event has birthed a number of well known Australian stars such as Rikki Lee Coulter, the Veronicas and Mirusia who now travels the world with Andre Rieu. Each of these had their start on Brisbane’s Riverstage as the new Christmas talent. Recent
winners have included Jordan Pollard who has just concluded a successful second season (repeated by demand) of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Coat at QPAC Theatre and is currently touring the world with the Ten Tenors. Our winner for 2009 was the 13 year old Jal Joshua
